Ages 3 – 6
The Mini Elite programme is a high energy, fun, creative and age-appropriate introduction to physical activity through football. It is also a great opportunity for your children to make friends. Core and fundamental physical skills of balance, movement, coordination, strength and ball manipulation are all central to the programme as well as personal skills of communication, teamwork, organisation and empathy. We align our principles with the Foundation National Curriculum in primary schools.
Our programme has been carefully designed for both boys and girls, aged 3-6. We believe that our “Minis” need to develop their individual ability with the ball at their feet, so our sessions are designed to make sure every player gets as many touches of the ball as possible. Players will be constantly challenged to try “new things”, “be brave” and “be creative” with the ball in a fun and safe setting.
4 Corner Model
Our sessions are designed around the FA 4 corner model and will focus on the following aspects
We therefore concentrate on ball work, small-sided games such as 1v1s 2v2s and 3v3s, fun games and
ball mastery and manipulation.
The pathway from our mini elite programme is to our academy from 7 years and upwards. Here players will be challenged in weekly game programmes against professional clubs and independent football academies. Players will be encouraged again to be brave, assertive and creative in match situations. Confidence is key in our player development so our positive and risk taking philosophy is key for our coaching programme. Our unique programmes are based around clear action plans and targets for each player so the accent is to develop the whole individual in a team setting.
All of our players are encouraged continue to play for their local grassroots teams where they can put into practice this football education and progression.
